This pin number is the Roku pin. This was set up when your device was activated. If you have a device that was sent to you by Clear Digital Media, there is no Roku pin associated with the Roku account. If you purchased your Roku device yourself, this pin number would have been set up by whoever activated your device.
If you notice your channel stream shutting down after 4 hours, this is because the Bandwidth saver is still turned on. This is a setting put in place by Roku to save energy but does not apply in our case. To turn the Bandwidth saver off, go to the home screen using the Roku remote. From there go to the settings, then to network, and from there click on Bandwidth saver. It will give you the option to disable this setting, click on this. Now you can go back to the CDM TV app and start your stream. It should no longer stop after 4 hours!
If you are seeing a Roku screensaver, this is because the screensaver setting is still active on your device. To turn the screen saver off, go to the home screen using the Roku remote. From there go to the settings section and click on Screensaver. It will give you the option to turn this off.
Click on the home button on your Roku remote and pan over to the settings option. From there, click on Network. When you’re in the Network settings, click on Set Up Connection and select Wireless, or Wired depending on your internet type. If your WiFi network/Ethernet is available you will see it come up on the options to pick from. Click on your network and enter the password (if applicable). Your Roku device will then connect to the network.
Your screen is flashing purple because your HDMI cord is not properly plugged in or it has gone bad. To remedy this, try adjusting your HDMI cable, or replace it with a new one.
A strong internet connection is crucial in ensuring you receive the highest quality of streaming. If your device keeps disconnecting there is either a disruption in signal, too weak of signal, or the bandwidth is unable to support the additional device. To check the strength of your internet, run a speed test (fast.com) this will tell you how much Mbps you are working with. In order to run smoothly, your Mbps should be above 9. A way to remedy this issue would be to add a WiFi extender in office. Also, if you have an Ethernet connection (wired internet) we can switch out your media player for one that would connect using the Ethernet cable.
